These are frescos-wall paintings-found in Pompeii after the destruction of the city and its peoples and found my archeologists during a dig of the ruined city many centuries later. They were preserved due to the immediate cover from the volcanic matter. As you can see they give an idea of what life was like for the people of Pompeii. Your assignments is to comment here on the following questions: What do you think these people were like? What were some things that the people of Pompeii value? Why is it so important for us to find such beautiful and intact ancient works of art? Enjoy looking at these frescos and I cannot wait to hear your comments on the questions.

i think that he people of pompeii were normal people of the time, they valued their families. it's importtant we found their art because it was so well preserved and cause it told us about how they lived before they died. (Ricardo Block.8)
i thiink that its important to keep artifacts like this intact because it can and expand our ideas and teach us stuff for the future, like don't build a city next to a volcanoe.

I like how the paintings are so detailed and are nice and bright. The paintings show how they dressed and what they did back then. Its really interesting to the change from our day and time to theirs.
these paintings are beautiful. alot of the paintings teach us about the ways they lived, and give us good info about their culture.they were very artsy people, and the paintings they made, usually told a story. (like a recent war.)

i think the people of pompeii where just like us they went to work , they had jobs and they had to get things done. they probably valued their cloths, jewelery, money, and their property. it is important for us to find ancient works of art because it tells us what they people of the past were like julia : block 7
All the Frescos are very beautiful. I think that the people were very artistic from the looks of the picture. The work of art really shows what it was like back then from the detail of the art.
